What personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you get it deleted.
1. Scope
This policy covers universalbuildersgroupcorp.com and the services we provide to business clients. It does not cover the websites we build and host for clients, which are governed by those clients' own policies.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you contact us or request an audit: your name, business name, email address, phone number, trade and the details you choose to include in your message.
Client service data. For clients, the business information needed to manage listings and websites: addresses, phone numbers, hours, service areas, service lists, licence and insurance details, photos, and the platform account identifiers required to act on your behalf.
Technical information. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested, timestamps) retained for security and troubleshooting.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels on this website.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to enquiries and prepare audits you request.
- To deliver the services in our agreement with you.
- To act on your behalf with map and listing platforms, under your authorization.
- To send service communications about your account.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
4. Who we share it with
- Map and listing platforms — the business information required to create and maintain your listings, submitted under your written authorization.
- Service providers — hosting, email delivery, analytics and payment processing, each bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.
- Professional advisers and authorities — where we are legally required to disclose, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
5. Retention
Enquiry correspondence is kept for two years. Client service data is kept for the life of the engagement and six years afterwards for tax and legal purposes. Authorization records are kept for the same six-year period. Server logs are kept for ninety days.
6. Your rights
You may ask us to provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights by statute; we extend them to everyone.
Write to info@universalbuildersgroupcorp.com. We respond within forty-five days and do not charge for a first request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to personnel who need it for their work. Platform credentials are stored in an encrypted secret store and are never sent by email or chat. Access is reviewed periodically and revoked immediately on role change.
8. Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen.
9. Changes
If we change this policy materially we will update the effective date above and, for clients, notify you by email before the change takes effect.
